KUMST is dedicated to systematically supporting entrepreneurship in all creative industries. In November and December 2023, it's photography's turn! There will be workshops, education on law and licensing, meet-ups, inspirational debates, and sharing know-how. Together with our partner FOTO magazine we´ll have an exhibition, talk with the author of the new issue, and PHOTO Fair - a platform for the presentation of publishers, photographers, and companies dedicated to photo technology.
We will start everything on 7 November with a workshop on analog photography with Polagraph. Next up is a debate with photographer Roman Franc, moderated by FOTO editor-in-chief Tomáš Hliva, on 8 November. The law and licensing in photography will be the subject of a practical workshop and open discussion on 14 November. On Thursday, 16 November at 6 pm, you can look forward to a double opening of the exhibition curated by the collective of FOTO editors, together with an exhibition by Cyril Zikuska, curated by Tamara Pavlechová. The month of November ends with a commercial photographer's meetup, focused on networking and experience sharing, on November 30.
December will kick off with an inspiring educational event with photographer Zuzana Pustaiová on the art market in an international context. We will end the months of photography with a weekend event Photo Fair on 9 and 10 December. Publishers specializing in photo books, photographers, and photo equipment companies will be presenting - the perfect place to meet the professional photography community or support your favorite photographer.
