We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition TOGETHER on 7 May at 6 pm in the creative hub KUMST. By cooperating with AFAD, Atelier of Industrial Design, we open the program of design months. The accompanying program includes a guided tour with the seminar Timeless Technology in the Digital Age on 15 May at 3 pm.
About the exhibition:
The title of the exhibition SPOLU refers to the 30-year joint work of the teacher and students, as well as to the long tradition of the studio working together with the practice.
The results of the COLLABORATION with important partners from Slovakia and the Czech Republic are represented by the products exhibited at the COLLABORATION exhibition. The Industrial Design Studio presents a series of chairs and the Upcycling project, which were born thanks to the cooperation with the company TON, and a cutlery collection, which was created under the auspices of the Austrian-Slovak company Berndorf Sandrik. The exhibition also includes the projects CINK and CUCEJ, which were created in cooperation with the Ceramics Studio at the AFAD and Markéta Nováková.
The Industrial Design Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava has long been considered a key representative of the creative space, whose main focus is collaboration with the corporate environment. Intensive cooperation with domestic and foreign manufacturers, institutions and organisations provides students with irreplaceable experience for their future development and work as a professional designer. Most of the semester works reflect specific projects for specific companies, but the studio also deals with society-wide issues of humanitarian and ecological nature with the aim to help, inform or educate.
